Left LICA Stenosis Left LICA Stenting
A 62-year-old man with previous history of ischemic heart disease has an incidental finding of
70-80% stenosis over the origin of the left common carotid artery (CCA) as well as left internal
carotid artery (ICA).Although he is asymptomatic, he is keen for surgical intervention of BOTH
lesions (Tandem lesions) in order to prevent future stroke, understanding that perioperative
risks may be increased with concomitant procedure for the left CCA origin lesion.
