On the CT scan, a large abdominal aortic aneurysm (double arrow) was seen with a
huge retroperitoneal haematoma (white arrow), diagnostic of a ruptured abdominal
aortic aneurysm. The huge retroperitoneal haematoma on the left side accounts for
the obliteration of the psoas shadow seen on the Plain X-ray.
