Investigations revealed that this patient actually has a congenital anomaly with an arch an-
eurysm leading into an aberrant right subclavian artery. The origin of the right subclavian is
dilated into a KOMMERELL’s DIVERTICULUM. The artery travels a retro-esophageal course and
can cause compression of the trachea and esophagus, or Dysphagia Lusoria.
