Orthodontics

 Dental misalignment and malocclusion is common

in patients with cleft lip and palate

 For dental misalignment orthodontic treatments
are required.

 Malocclusion is based on the relationship of the
mesiobuccal cusp of the first maxillary molar and

the buccal grove of the first mandibular molar .

 Angle’s classification is used to describe the

different classes of malocclusion :
