 The aim of pre-surgical orthodontics

include:

 Narrowing cleft lip deformities

 Correct alignment of alveolar

processes

 Elevation of depressed alar

 Ultimately can lead to easier surgical

repair

 Mainly three different methods are

available , taping, naso-alveolar

molding and Latham-type device.
