After ascertaining microscopic tumour clearance on
frozen section, the length of PE defect to be
reconstructed is measured.
The required length of jejunum is then harvested
from the abdomen based on the second arcade of
the jejunal artery and vein.
Vascular clamps are applied on the pedicle artery and
vein as shown. Direction of peristalsis is marked with
an arrow.
