The segment of jejunum is then transferred

to the neck for PE reconstruction.

Distal anastomosis with the CE is fashioned

first followed by microvascular anastomosis.

This is due to the short ischaemic time of

visceral flaps (~2 hours). Flap pedicle artery

is anastomosed with the right transverse

cervical artery (A) and flap pedicle vein with A

the right internal jugular vein (V). V

After establishing good flap perfusion, the

proximal pharyngo-jejunal anastomosis is

fashioned (white arrow).
