                                                                                                                                  Duplex ultrasound showed patent right iliofemoral veins, but with non-compressible
                                                                                                                                  left iliofemoral veins with visible thrombus, indicating left iliofemoral DVT. She also had
                                                                                                                                  a large mass in the pelvis, probably ovarian in origin, and gross ascites.






       The left foot remained swollen despite elevation, with evidence of pitting oedema. This makes
       a diagnosis of DVT more likely, as supposed to lymphedema, which have features of dorsal
       hump, squaring of toes, Stemmer sign, and non-pitting oedema.
