The Desmoid Tumour
Working Group Guideline
2020
In asymptomatic patients:
Active surveillance under the supervision of
an experienced multidisciplinary team
(MDT)
Monitoring with MRI within 1-2 months, then
3-6 months interval
Active treatment only In case of persistent
progression
Surgery
Systemic treatments, e.g. antihormonal
therapies, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs, tyrosine kinase inhibitors,
chemotherapy, etc
Radiotherapy
Pain control is paramount to improve
quality of life
