investigations

 Lymphoscintigraphy is the current

standard investigation , which

involves using radioactive colloidal

tracer to assess lymphatic drainage

and allow detection of abnormality

 Lymphoscintigraphy is performed by

injecting water soluble technetium

labeled tracer into the interdigital

space. After injection gamma

camera will be used to trace the

movement of the lymphatic

drainage.

Lymphoscintigraphy show occlusion of lymphatic
drainage and the absence of left groin lymph

nodes at 5 minutes (A) and 2 hours (B) after

Technetium-99 injection.
